Can one attach elements to a story's setting, costuming to improve description?

Can one add or attach a character element to aspects of your story to improve description like:

  1. Attaching an element to the setting or an object using the dramatica tables

  2. Attaching a dramatica element to the clothing of the character

  3. Attaching a dramatica element to the environment in the story

  4. Attaching a dramatica element to the character’s demeanor

  5. Attaching a dramatica element to the character’s physical build up

For example in my story my main character ken is living in a house with his three kids.

I chose closure as what I feel best describes the house. The house is so run down such that if a miracle were to happen and they got enough money, they would move elsewhere, the conditions in the house are almost unlivable.

Then I could attach “experience” from the doing type to describe a characters demeanor. He looked like he looked like a pauper. The torn clothes, the unkempt hair, callouses on the palms of his hands, it seemed like all aspects of slum living were written into his body,

Not the best example but I think you catch the drift in terms of using dramatica terms to help infer descriptive elements of your story for the setting, clothing, etc
