How Do You Use a Quad to Write a Short Story?

I keep seeing generally what I want to do, but I can’t make the pieces fit together when it comes to actually plotting something. There are always logic problems.

I would try first to find an issue for your plot-idea. Then you could try how the elements fit. Gists are helpful in that part of the process.

Here is an example for a Dilbert Comic I just googled:

Slide 1 - Figuring Out Something’s Likeliness (Possibility)
Slide 2 - Offering an Estimation for Something (Evalutaion)
Slide 3 - Being Improbable (Probability)
Slide 3 - Considering Something Again (Revelatuation)

Edit: Sometimes starting with a Gist/Element also works. By picking an Element you get 4 topics you could chose from.
