Slicing & Dicing Possible?

I have an old Windows version of the Dramatica software but I am finding a bit of a limitation. Since I am trying to make short films right now, I am noticing that I don’t want to always use the grand argument setup that seems the default layout for the software.

Instead I am wondering if its possible to create a “plot progression” model that is based of one or two pillars (like Manipulation & Universe)?

Oh sure. At the simplest level you could just take any quad anywhere and use that as a plot progression. Even the elements. Take a look at this article on four acts using only Proaction, Reaction, Inaction and Protection.

For dicing I would just set the story engine and then only use the one Throughline you are interested in.
