Does “the magic was Inside of you all along” indicate a steadfast story?

Depends on context. Was this character looking for magic inside of them all along? Or were they looking for magic externally all along?

It kind of sounds like a judgment on the thematic conflict to me. “You were so focused on your Desire you never realized you already had the Ability.” Something like that, maybe.

I agree with @Gregolas. Depends. That’s what Glinda tells Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. But Dorothy had to change in order to recognize her hearts desire. So no, it doesn’t necessarily indicate a steadfast story.
