Do different through lines have different emphasis for a genre? I’m thinking of Independence Day, for example, where the OS Throughline of Activity is quite heavily emphasized, but the MC Throughlne of Situation (David being a bit of a social outcast) is much less emphasized. Is that emphasis part of the story form or part of the story weaving?
Most likely yes, though that is a storytelling choice and does not reflect the demands of the storyform.
I also think the medium in which the story is expressed often in throughline emphasis.
