Roma by Alfonso Cuaron

anyone else see yet? thoughts?

slow to start, but v moving and powerful and focused, great casting, and totally gorgeous to look at and listen to.
I loved how the broader social-political stuff like the outbreak of revolution in mexico is portrayed as the same kind of untamable natural/mythological force like the earthquake and the forest fire and the rough ocean at the end, and the characters have to just mud thru it. Not polemical which was refreshing.
some too-cute INFP details for me (like the singing man in the frame in the forest fire)
but nothing that takes away from the film’s power.
