Let’s say you’ve got a PSR and are searching for illustrations. Should the different variations under the Signpost reflect different perspectives on the signpost illustration? Should the elements under the different variations reflect different perspectives on those variations?
Let’s say your OS Signpost 1 Doing is that people are disappearing. The variations are Closure, Hope, Dream, and Denial. Should the illustration of Closure be a perspective on “People are Disappearing” (for example, the town is closing down out of fear of whatever is making these people disappear)? If the elements under Closure are Consider, Reconsider, Pursuit, and Avoidance, should they have something to do with the town closing down (for example, a shopowner is considering shutting down his store as the rest of the town is shutting down)?
Alternatively, is it more random than that? Perhaps the illustrations don’t have to be unified. Closure is a guy failing to seal a letter he’s mailing and Consider is thinking about taking his son’s skateboard away after the kid leaves it where the guy almost trips on it.
