The movie “As good as it gets” has been analysed, and described as having two stories. How does Dramatica keep track of the interplay between these two stories, when the story engine settings are independent of one another. Expanding this a little; how would Dramatica cope with an ER episode which may have up to 5 story threads per episode.
Check out the Glee episode podcast. And analysis.
Okay. I’ll do that. “As good as it gets” looked to be an unusual analysis. Thus the question.
The SOUND OF MUSIC analysis is a Dramatica podcast too that was insightful as far as a film that had two storyforms coexisting. I suggest the podcast because it helps me to hear the thought process and Chris Huntley explain as we go.
I listened to the Glee podcast as you suggested. The approach is that the analysis is limited to the storyline which best stands by itself, and the others are considered sufficiently aligned to the overall concern of the episode.
Yes that is correct. There is no set rule how it all works together. It’s up to the Author to decide how many arguments they want to illustrate. But usually it works like you describe.
