We work through the four Throughlines, test our choices in the Storyform Builder and Theme Browser, and dig into certainty, revenge, and why resolving the Story Goal can still leave personal anguish unresolved. During the meeting, we had trouble identifying the Benchmarks - especially when it seemed like everything was in the Past or Present. I tried to avoid it because I always find them kind of squishy, meaning they can be elusive and hard to find in narrative structure
but apparently Narrova has no problem!
While getting the Storyform ready for dramatica.com I had it look for evidence of Benchmarks across all four throughlines in the original screenplay. It came back with WAY MORE proof than i every possibly remember.
Remember that you can always have Narrova take a look at your work and measure it against the Storyform to see what is working and might need improvement.
I particularly liked how it pointed out Eghbal’s shifting identity as part of the benchmark which is a really smart take on everything that I’m not even sure experienced Dramatica experts would pick up on.
