Narrative Context Protocol 2.0 is now available

We’ve released NCP 2.0, a major update to the open Dramatica storyform schema for preserving and exchanging authorial intent across applications and AI systems.

Highlights include story-level Moments and Settings, stronger cross-narrative references, expanded validation and templates, semantic-grounding guidance, and canonical support for the five named Story Drivers.

The major version reflects accumulated schema changes since NCP 1.3, including specific changes to how Story Drivers show up. Integrators should review the migration notes before updating. If you don’t directly generate or consume NCP files, no immediate action is required.
