Narrative First Volume Two now on sale

Please forgive the 2nd promotion in less than a week, but I have much ado this February …

My latest compilation of articles, Narrative First Volume Two is now for sale over at the Narrative First store. The bundle comes with Kindle, iBook and Nook versions so you can happily read about Main Character Growth and Story Prerequisites on your favorite eBook device. There is a new introduction and I made some effort to clean up what I have written in order to make it presentable and lasting.

Professional screenwriter James R. Hull works as a story consultant for major studios, accomplished directors and professional screenwriters. His practice and knowledge enables storytellers to unlock the secret code of their own work, decreasing the amount of time needed for rewrites and minimizing studio notes to practically nothing. In addition, his screenwriting workshops and classes at the California Institute of the Arts teach writers of every experience level the fundamentals and practical application of a powerful new perspective of story.

In Narrative First Volume Two, Jim continues this education by extolling the virtues of thinking deeply about your story before you start. Getting to the heart of what you want to say and structuring it effectively is an easy process, if you understand how narrative communicates its meaning. Learn to plug story holes and fix broken stories from one of the experts in the field.

More volumes to come (though I promise it will take me more than a week!). Thanks!

Is the 1st volume the Story Fanatic 2010 book?

Yes. My plan is to eventually reformat that book and retitle it, making it Volume One.

I don’t know if this is intentional, but the lower left shape of the atom on the cover is white instead of the light grey of the background and the other shapes inside the atom. If it IS intentional, then it still seems unintentional? I have trouble putting it into words. It just seems… weird, I suppose?

Now the question is, what does it mean?

I just purchased my copy! Thank you.

Thank you my good man!
