Prompt field not working

Hi Jim,

I’m still fairly new to Narrova, so I’m not sure why I get this problem and what to do about it:
I’ve been analysing a story with Narrova, uploading transcripts directly into the prompts because I noticed that Narrova didn’t use the full transcripts for analysis when uploaded as documents into the story context.
Everything worked fine until this morning when I couldn’t enter any self-written prompts anymore. I can still use prepared prompts that Narrova offers but I can’t follow up on them because Narrova won’t let me type anything into the prompt field. The only thing that works is the “Show conversation outline” button. Everything else seems to be disabled. However, I only have this problem on my laptop (tried different browsers, same problem). When I login on my mobile phone, the prompt field works just fine. I can start new conversations and I can follow up on the story with new prompts, but only on my mobile phone. When I want to do the same on my laptop (Windows 11), it won’t let me. Once I typed a prompt with my phone, I can edit that prompt on my laptop, but still, I can’t write new prompts there. Everything else seems to work okay.

Any ideas? I already restarted the browser, deleted cache data, restarted the laptop. Nothing worked.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards

Peggy

Hi Peggy,

I’m sorry for the inconvenience here. We found an issue with a recent rollout that could make Narrova feel unresponsive, especially when trying to click back into the composer.

We’ve pushed a fix now. If you reset or refresh the page, you should be able to use it as expected again.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi Jim,

thank you. It works!! :slightly_smiling_face: I had discovered that if I reduce the size of the browser window to mobile size, I could still use it on my laptop, but this of course is much better.

Thanks for all the great work you’re doing. I have been really struggling with Dramatica for years, both loving and hating it, but Narrova really is a game changer in applying the Dramatica theiry to stories.

Best regards
Peggy
