First time poster here and pretty new to Dramatica. Hopefully some of you wonderful people can assist me.
I was developing a story yesterday and everything was going pretty well. I even got as far as a completed storyform. I had compacted my thread and it’s only at about 33%. It has a story context and storyform attached to it.
Then I received this error message - ‘Narrova hit an internal issue while preparing your response. Please try again.’ Well, no matter how many times you retry it doesn’t work. So I called it a day and logged out.
Again today I get the same message. Is there a national problem, it does say internal Narrova issue? Should I just leave my story and try again in about a week or so? I’m unsure of how much time these issues might take to fix. Is it a problem with my account? and is anyone else suffering the same issue?
And, I was going so well with the story too - which is for the third book in my series.
If you did this about 15 min or so ago we just ran some maintenance on the platform so you may have hit that.
If you have the training on (the thumbs up/down) if you could thumbs down to indicate the specific place where it failed that would really help. Barring that the URL of your current workflow would be good too.
Best is to use in-app help so we can track down what happened exactly. Lots of moving parts here!

I just gave a thumbs down sign and a little message on my thread just before it crashed, as after the crash part it doesn’t give me an option for giving feedback. So, hopefully you can find that.
Where is the in-app help button for future reference? (probably somewhere obvious where I can see it easily). Like you say so many moving parts and I’m still trying to wrap my head around both using the app/system and learning Dramatica theory.
It’s on the main dashboard — where you see the four big tiles of Story Guide, Narrova, Subtxt and the Storyform Builder. In the upper right it says Get Help.
And no I don’t sleep much anymore, this is too much fun!

Thanks for flagging this, and sorry you ran into it right as things were moving well.
We checked your thread in production and confirmed this is not a problem with your account, and it does not look like a broader outage. In your case, Narrova was running into an internal save/matching issue tied to Storyform updates inside that thread, which is why retrying did not clear it.
We’ve identified the cause and prepared a fix on our side. That fix is scheduled to go out in tonight’s rollout.
So the short version is:
your story is not lost
this is not an account problem
it was a real internal Narrova issue on our side
we have a fix going out tonight
Once that rollout is live, please try the thread again. If it still gives you trouble after tonight’s update, send us a note and we’ll dig straight back into your specific thread.
