I read a very intresting article from Melanie about the 6 different types/shapes of character arcs. (Here: http://storymind.com/content/48.htm)
I was curious about how this examples work in the practice, so I tried to make some illustrations about the first 5 examples with graphs and scene recaps. I upoloaded this here, if anyone else interested.
The illustrations contain SPOILERS from:
* The Beauty and the Beast (1991)
* Dangerous Liaisons (1988)
* The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) & The The Return of the King (2003)
* Silence (2016)
* Murder on the Orient Express (2010)
Note: I don’t know the dramatica storyforms of this examples (except The Beauty and the Beast from this forum), so my graphs probably arn’t perfect in the terms of dramatica. Also I know that my english is far from perfect, so I mostly used the copy-paste method from Imdb’s synopsises. So if anyone find some kind of error (grammar, dramatica, etc.) in the pdf, please let me know, and I will fix it.
