Should i be worried that Narrova says my storyform is 'rare'

that pretty much means ‘not popular’, right?

I would say more of a less in the zeitgeist, rather than not popular.

Culturally, we tend to write with or work with, the same general Storyform area as a collective. Prior to 2020, a majority of Best Picture Oscar nominees would be in what we would consider the Deliberations family – these would be stories that focused conflict in the area of Learning, Conceiving, the Present, and Conscious. You can roughly attribute that to the dawn of the iPhone age and information technology uprising.

Prior to that, most Storyforms were in what we could call the Foundations family. These stories focused conflict in the Past, Understanding, Conceptualizing, and Memory. Christopher Nolan made his mark here with Memento and films like The Matrix, American Beauty, and The Sixth Sense focused our attention on the difference between what we perceive to be real and what is real.

Since 2020, almost all of our Storyforms as a collective have returned to the Destinations family. These stories focus almost exclusively on areas of control: Obtaining, Becoming, Subconscious, and the Future all rose in popularity and emphasis, and you can likely understand why this might be happening in the collective based on world events that year.

These cultural trends seem to shift every 20 years or so. Popular films from the mid-20th century and slightly before were also in the Destinations area. You can roughly attribute this to WWII.

All that said, the greatest novel of the 20th century - To Kill A Mockingbird - was written in the mid to late 50s. Mockingbird’s Storyform rests in the Foundations family–which is totally out of alignment with cultural trends of that time.

In the end, the trends don’t matter as much as your personal gut and artistic intent. If seeking to sell and make billions then sure, look to the most popular Storyform of the time (e.g., KPop Demon Hunters). If more interested in expressing something close to you - go with what Narrova helps you uncover.
