Space and Time Thinking

I’ve read in Jim Hull’s articles about holistic thinkers using a time-based mind and linear thinkers using a space-based mind. The effect is in reverse. The linear mindset has a time perspective while holistic thinkers have a perspective on space.

Is this because their respective operating systems are a blindside for them? I recall the Dramatica guidebook or one of the articles saying that a holistic thinker stands on time in order to view space. I suppose this standing on time is what Jim Hull talks about as a time-based operating system.

Yes completely.

TBOS is Holistic. SBOS is Linear

Everything is perception. We don’t hear or see a fraction of what’s going on around us because our biological filters only allow us to see or hear a portion of the entire spectrum.

It’s probably best to think of them in terms of filters rather than blindsides.I can think holistically or linearly just like anyone else can.

The question is: is my idea of holism true, or a linear-filtered attempt at grasping holism?
