Narrato Updates - July Release!
Hey everyone! Here are the latest updates on the building of “Narrato”—the next level of intelligence for Dramatica theory, coming your way this summer. We’ve been busy making your storytelling experience even more intuitive and powerful. Check out what’s new:
Multi-Agent Conversations
No more switching between modes like Subtxt Focus and Subtxt Flow—Narrato takes care of it all for you. New to Dramatica? Narrato will ease you into everything, only referring to detailed structure when you need it. Expert Dramatica user? Narrato was built for you, so jump right in with your Costs and Dividends, Prerequisites and Preconditions! Now you can attach docs directly into threads and start fresh conversations from within your story context seamlessly.
Meet the New Storyteller Agent
We’ve introduced a brand-new Storyteller agent designed specifically to help you brainstorm and get inspired. Less focused on structure (yet, still rooted in Dramatica principles behind the scenes), this agent is your go-to for creative exploration:
- “Give me five cool ideas for the Security beat!”
- “What are 3-5 unique ways to illustrate each of the Main Character’s 4 Transits?”
Huge Expansion of Storyform Examples
With over 600 storyform examples now available, inspiration and guidance are always just a question away. Quickly dig into rich examples:
- “Show me stories with an MC Problem of Chaos.”
- “What’s the IC Domain, Concern, and Issue of Top Gun?”
Enhanced Methods of Conflict Lookup
We’ve vastly improved the Methods of Conflict lookup in the Table of Story Elements, making it easier to explore and integrate these crucial narrative elements into your story. Even better, Narrato itself can now use this tool—making detailed analysis and story development practically effortless.
Storyformer Gets Smarter
Our Storyformer agent has also been learning and leveling up its knowledge of Dramatica theory, so expect deeper insights and sharper guidance throughout your storytelling process.
Preset Personas
Dramatica isn’t just for writing screenplays—it’s a model of story and psychology. Whether you’re a screenwriter, novelist, game designer, creative exec, marketing specialist, or family therapist, Narrato can help you frame and understand the narratives you encounter throughout your life.
Improved Context Switching
Context is everything in Dramatica, so we’ve made that front and center with Narrato. Navigating your stories is now simpler and faster, thanks to improvements in the context switcher—no distractions, just pure storytelling.
Fine-Tuned for Analysis and Critique
Narrato isn’t just about creating your stories—it’s also finely-tuned to analyze and critique them. Drop your latest draft right into Narrato and let it provide detailed, thoughtful feedback, spotting strengths and areas that could use some tightening up. Whether it’s story structure, character motivations, or thematic clarity, Narrato has you covered.
We’re busy crossing our i’s and dotting our t’s (wait, reverse that!), and we can’t wait to share Narrato with a wider audience later this July. Stay tuned!
