Hi. I was a Subtxt user, and want to move over to the new Narrova platform. I was having an issue with downloading my Subtxt story reports–it’s not accessible anywhere but inside of the Develop space, and when your subscription ends, you can’t get into that at all, which I don’t think is good design. I had to subscribe again in order to download my work, and am now stuck with a whole month of Subtxt when I wanted to move to Narrova. I managed to talk to Jim Hull briefly through discord who said that my subscription should carry over. Is that true? And if so, how do I do that? In Narrova I currently have the Dramatica Basic Tier (the free offer given to Story Expert users), but would like the Plus tier, which is the same as I have in subtxt.
You should be able to download all of your Subtxt materials even without an active subscription. If you were blocked from doing so, that likely indicates a bug on the Subtxt side. As we are in the process of porting the entire application over to the Dramatica platform, our engineering resources are focused on that migration rather than the small percentage of issues that surface in the legacy app.
To migrate your subscription, simply register for an account at Dramatica.com using the same email address you used for Subtxt. Once you’re signed in, open the in-app Help and submit a migration request there. We’ll take care of the rest.
Just to clarify: this is the Dramatica platform, which now includes both Subtxt and Narrova. Everything is part of one ecosystem going forward. To get oriented, I recommend reviewing the documentation at:
https://platform.dramatica.com/docs
And if you prefer video walkthroughs, we have a large library of livestreams available at:
https://dramatica.com/livestream
Once your Subtxt subscription is migrated, your access level will match on the Dramatica platform (e.g., Plus tier).
Thank you for your help and the information. I appreciate it.
Just to let you know, the help button on the menu bar of the Dramatica platform page doesn’t work–I think the link is broken. So I used the contact form from the page footer. I hope that this will still reach the right person.
The Help button works. Make sure you’ve updated your browser and that you don’t have any JavaScript blocking in place.
